Moving Object Detection and Characterization

Zipreel’s ObjectDetect® can: (a) process an input video file and provide per-frame information on the presence/absence of moving objects, their size, color, and co-ordinates (to aid downstream object recognition), (b) embed bounding boxes on the identified objects if needed, and (c) transcode the input video to make it viewable on web- and mobile-platforms.

ObjectDetect®’s is built on top of the StreamEngine® platform, which implies the same intuitive GUI, REST APIs, diagnostic and maintenance tools

 Target Use-Case: A large volume of time-sensitive video data is generated by stationary or mobile cameras (such as those on unmanned   aerial vehicles (UAVs)) for surveillance and reconnaissance purposes. Typically, the useful information is a small fraction of the overall data.   Finding this useful information implies the need for smart filtering techniques that can identify the segments or frames of interest. In many   cases, the interesting segments or frames are those in which there is significant motion. This is the target use-case for ObjectDetect®.
